A strong growth in Q2 2016, driven by high demand for Data Respons R&D Services, led to a record high revenue for the first half of 2016. Strong order backlog supports further growth.
Data Respons reported revenue of NOK 263 million in Q2 2016, up 15% y/y, with an EBITDA margin of 6.5%.
Growth in R&D Services was particularly strong. Revenue was up by 38% to NOK 142 million and EBITDA grew from 9 to 13 million. The development in Products & Solutions is more impacted by slow development in the Maritime and Oil/Offshore sector in Norway.
Order intake in Q2 was NOK 296 million, a growth of 18% over Q2 last year. The positive momentum is due to the strong position within Internet-of-Things, digitalisation and embedded technologies. Total order back log was record high at NOK 779 million.
“The growth proves Data Respons unique position within the high demand for more mobility, digitalisation and IoT. Furthermore, the results demonstrate the flexibility within Data Respons to offest down turn in certian segments and the inherent synergies between the Product & Solutions and R&D Services segments” says Narve Reiten, Lead Partner at Reiten & Co.
