This week, the power for Vow Green Metals’ early production line at Hønefoss, Norway, was switched on for the first time marking a key milestone for the project. The early production line operates solely on electric power and will have a total annual production capacity of 2,500 tons of biocarbon.
Vow Green Metals will produce its first biocarbon from the early production line during the commissioning process, and the company expects to finalize this process in November, before entering operations and ramping up production over the following months.
“We are pleased to have started the commissioning process, the first in Vow Green Metals’ history. As part of this process, we will identify improvements and track learnings that will be transferred to our next projects. The results so far are reassuring, and the project is progressing well,” said Chief Executive Officer of Vow Green Metals, Cecilie Jonassen.
